Jack Slaw

Massachusetts rock quartet Jack Slaw was formed in 2016 after frontman Dan DiBacco (Vocals/Guitar) was asked to perform at a friend’s house for Somerville Porch Fest. Recruiting prior collaborators and college friends Mike “Stax” Staxfeld on drums and Jared Marshall on bass, the power trio soon discovered their chemistry went beyond just being able to perform cover songs well. Dan (also of Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners) started presenting songs he had written to his rhythm section and soon original compositions started being integrated into their sets. In 2018, Max Doyle was recruited on 2nd guitar to further fill out the sound. Combining classic rock blues with funk, progressive rock, and modern pop, Jack Slaw began making a name for themselves in Boston and the surrounding area. On January 24th, Jack Slaw will be releasing their 2nd single, the funky and infectiously delightful ‘Back Then’. Buckle up because Rock ‘n’ Roll ain’t dead.”
From an environmental perspective, Jack Slaw is adding solar panels to their home studio space and will be recording their music there moving forward. They are currently also working with the program to incorporate elements of sustainability into their shows.
