Gabrielle Ornate is back with another fiery, speaker-rattling anthem in her recent single “Enchantress of Sound”. In this latest track, we get top quality production, poetic lyrics, and gut-punching guitars that create a sense of mastery over this other sonic universe that the artist has created. Through colorful visuals and images of otherworldly scenery, Gabrielle’s music has consistently cultivated an aesthetic and a sound that feels like its own planet – a place drenched in vibrant color and sensation. There is never a dull moment in this other place, with some new surprise to energize the visitor every time they turn the corner.

While in past songs Gabrielle has more indirectly built up this world of sound, she is now more directly delivering the message straight to whoever is listening: she is the enchantress, the prime architect of this form of expression. It is the first of her works whose album cover has a picture of her rather than an illustration, and this, combined with the boldness of the music and the lyrical themes, gives the song a strong sense of candor. Listening to her body of work, one cannot help but feel as if the artist has been building toward this moment, and voila, it is now here in full force.
